Wady zębowe i zgryzowe u bliźniąt. Przegląd piśmiennictwa

Malocclusions and dental disorders at twins – a literature review

Aleksandra Makuch, Alicja Szygenda, Teresa Matthews‑Brzozowska

Streszczenie
Dokonano przeglądu piśmiennictwa dotyczącego wad zębowych i zgryzowych u bliźniąt w celu poznania obecnych poglądów na tematy ortodontyczne u bliźniąt. Szukając artykułów w medycznej bazie internetowej, po wpisaniu hasła „malocclusion in twins” otrzymano 143 wyniki, wybrano sześć doniesień klinicznych dotyczących wad zgryzowych i zębowych u bliźniąt z ostatnich 5 lat. W wybranych artykułach bliźnięta są porównywane między sobą pod względem morfologii układu stomatognatycznego. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników można sugerować, które cechy są cechami osobniczymi, a które mają swoją etiologię w genach.

Abstract
A review of the literature on malocclusion and dental defects in twins was conducted to explore current views on orthodontic topics in twins. Searching for articles in a medical Internet database, 143 results were obtained when the keyword “malocclusion in twins” was entered, and 6 clinical reports on malocclusion and dental defects in twins from the last 5 years were selected. In chosen articles, twins are compared with each other in terms of morphology of the stomatognathic system. Based on the results obtained, it is possible to suggest which features are individual characteristics and which have etiology in genes.
