Stomatologia estetyczna – symetria czy sztuka harmonii?

Chociaż wiadomo już bardzo dokładnie, w jaki sposób opisać uśmiech w kategoriach geometrycznych, czyli poprzez szczegółową analizę określonych linii, krzywizn i symetrii, a także w jaki sposób analizować kształty zębów zgodnie z regułami matematycznymi – mierząc ich szerokości, długości i proporcje, to jednak piękno wymyka się poza te matematyczne zasady. W literaturze medycznej można znaleźć publikacje odnoszące się do proporcji twarzy i uzębienia powszechnie uznawanych za wzorce piękna, a i tak nie ma dwóch identycznych uśmiechów.
