At the orthodontist’s

Doctor: Orthodontic Cabinet, how can I help you?

Patient: Hello, I would like to schedule an appointment for an orthodontic consultation. I have a referral from Doctor Nowak.

Doctor: Hello, of course. I can suggest Wednesday. What time suits you: morning or evening hours?

Patient: I can come only in the afternoon. I work until 4 p.m.

Doctor: I see. Let’s meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Is this time suitable for you?

Patient: Yes, it’s perfect. Thank you.

Doctor: My office is located on 3 Green Road, in that big white building.

Patient: Yes, I know. I’ve checked the address on the Internet.

Doctor: Good. So see you on Wednesday!

Patient: Goodbye!

Doctor: Goodbye!

On Wednesday

Patient: Good evening, I have the appointment at 6 p.m.

Doctor: Yes, please come in.

Patient: I went to Doctor Nowak with my problem, and he referred me to you. I have a gap between my teeth, which is very annoying. I want to do something about it, no matter what the cost is going to be.

Doctor: I see. Yeah. It will not be easy. It seems to me that a minor surgical procedure will be necessary.

Patient: Operation?

Doctor: It’s a little procedure. You will need to have the upper lip tie removed, which is located between the incisors. But at first, before I recommend anything, it is necessary to take some X-rays. I’ll also take teeth impression.

Patient: Are you going to do the surgical procedure?

Doctor: I’m not completely sure about the surgical procedure,  but if I make such a decision the upper lip frenum will be cut out by periodontologist, with whom I cooperate. But at first I have to have an X-rays picture and the model so I can provide you with a detailed treatment plan, its duration, and of course the costs. You will need to wear braces. I will also tell you about the possible complications.

Patient: All right.

Doctor: This is a referral letter to take some X-rays. Can we schedule the next appointment?

Patient: I’m going for a business trip tomorrow and I’ll be unavailable the whole week, so I’ll be able to take the X-rays the following Monday. So we can then make an appointment at the earliest on Tuesday, the 17th.

Doctor: Good. Thus, on Tuesday, the 17th, at 6 p.m. Suitable for you, too?

Patient: Absolutely. It is ideal.

Doctor: So until Tuesday.

Patient: Goodbye, Doctor!

Doctor: Goodbye!
