Leczenie endodontyczne zębów stałych niedojrzałych – rewitalizacja (rewaskularyzacja)

Rewitalizacja (rewaskularyzacja miazgi) jest metodą leczenia zębów stałych z niezakończonym rozwojem wierzchołka korzenia, pozbawionych żywej miazgi (zazwyczaj z infekcją kanału), z obecnością lub bez zmian zapalnych w tkankach okw. Polega ona na stymulowaniu korzenia do dalszego rozwoju, tj. do jego wzrostu na długość, pogrubienia ścian i tym samym zwężenia kanału oraz uformowania wierzchołka o budowie zbliżonej do prawidłowej, czyli optymalnie z wytworzeniem przyszczytowego przewężenia. Aby to było możliwe, w kanale zęba pozbawionego żywej miazgi powinna pojawić się tkanka miazgopodobna równoważna pod względem funkcji zdrowej miazdze.
