Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic, infl ammatory and recurrent skin disease. As with periodontal disease, the development and progression of lesions depends on immunological, genetic and environmental factors. The study aimed to assess periodontal status in patients with psoriasis vulgaris. In patients with psoriasis, there were higher indicators of gingivitis or periodontitis. These fi ndings suggest a highly probable link between periodontal disease and psoriasis.
