Immediate dentin sealing (IDS) – natychmiastowa aplikacja systemu łączącego na zębinę, dawniej „technika podwójnego wiązania”

Immediate dentin sealing (IDS) – immediate application of the bonding system to the dentin, formerly the “double bonding technique”

Adam Rubajczyk

Abstract
Application of the bonding system to freshly cut dentin after tooth preparation, the so-called immediate dentin sealing (IDS) has been proposed as an alternative to delayed dentin sealing (DDS), a technique in which an adhesive resin is applied just prior to the final bonding of indirect adhesive restorations (IAR). Minimally invasive prosthetic procedures (MIPP), the development of materials science, reliable adhesive techniques and the growing demand for aesthetic restorations, i.e. ceramic veneers, inlays, onlays and all-ceramic crowns, have resulted in an increased emphasis on maintaining a healthy tooth structure. The paper describes the IDS technique, paying attention to its minimally invasive nature and advantages, especially in comparison with DDS.
