Introduction to implant dentistry – sinus floor elevation. Part II

Streszczenie
Zabieg podniesienia dna zatoki szczękowej jest jednym z zabiegów wykonywanych w procedurach przedimplantacyjnych. Pozwala on wprowadzić wszczepy w trudnych warunkach, gdy wysokość wyrostka zębodołowego jest niewystarczająca do wykonania implantacji.

Abstract
The procedure of sinus floor elevation is one of the procedures performed in preimplantation surgery. It allows implants insertion in
compromised conditions, where the height of the alveolar ridge is insufficient for implantation. It can be performed using the lateral and crestal sinus lift techniques. Thanks to preimplantological diagnosis and accurate gathering of an interview with the patient, we can predict difficulties and possible complications that may occur during the procedure.
