Tooth jewellery – clinical observations of patients

Streszczenie

W wielu cywilizacjach zdobienie zębów i jamy ustnej sięga czasów starożytnych. Biżuteria nazębna od lat 90. ubiegłego wieku przeżywa renesans, stanowi bowiem szybki i prosty sposób na podkreślenie olśniewającego uśmiechu. Z roku na rok popularność zabiegu rośnie, a w literaturze fachowej nadal brakuje informacji na ten temat. Celem pracy było przybliżenie procedury i podzielenie się własnymi spostrzeżeniami na temat naklejania biżuterii nazębnej, która może być alternatywą dla tradycyjnego kolczykowania.

Summary

In many civilisations the decorating of teeth and the oral cavity goes back to ancient times. Tooth jewellery from the nineties of last century is going through a renaissance, and constitutes a quick and simple method of underlining a dazzling smile. From year to year the popularity of the procedure grows but, in the professional literature there is still a lack of information about the subject. The aim of the study was to get acquainted with the procedures and to share personal observations as regards the attaching tooth jewellery that may be an alternative to traditional piercing.
