W pracy przedstawiono przebieg leczenia endodontycznego dwóch przypadków zapalnych zmian okołowierzchołkowych oraz ocenę uzyskanych wyników za pomocą subtrakcji komputerowej zdjęć  rentgenowskich. Do przeprowadzenia subtrakcji wykorzystano serie cyfrowych wewnątrzustnych zdjęć zębowych z poszczególnych etapów leczenia, wykazując, że subiektywna, wzrokowa ocena  postępu gojenia  się zmian może się różnić od tej uzyskanej metodą subtrakcyjną. Opisany sposób oceny może być wskazówką dla lekarza w zakresie monitorowania  przebiegu leczenia i wspomagać jego decyzje terapeutyczne.

The study describes the course of endodontic treatment in two cases of periapical lesions and an evaluation of results obtained with the help of computer subtraction of radiographs. In the carrying out of subtraction use was made of a series of digital intraoral dental films particularly of the treatment stages, showing that a subjective visual evaluation  of the progression of healing of the changes may also differ  from that obtained by the subtraction method. The described method of evaluation may be indicated for the doctor from the aspect of monitoring the course of treatment and to aid decisions as regards therapy.
