Implants in the case of resorption of the alveolar part of the mandible in the posterior segments

Zanik zarówno części zębodołowej, jak i trzonu żuchwy prowadzi do licznych problemów podczas rehabilitacji protetycznej. Z chwilą wprowadzenia do codziennej praktyki stomatologicznej wszczepów śródkostnych, które umożliwiły najkorzystniejsze z funkcjonalnego i estetycznego punktu widzenia leczenie, znaczny nacisk położono na zabiegi z dziedziny chirurgii przedprotetycznej, pozwalające na ich  późniejsze zastosowanie.

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie metod postępowania przedprotetycznego umożliwiających rehabilitację protetyczną za pomocą wszczepów śródkostnych pacjentów z silnym zanikiem części zębodołowej żuchwy.

Resorption of both the dental alveolus and body of the mandible lead to numerous problems during prosthetic rehabilitation. From the moment of the introduction of intraosseous implants into everyday dental practice, which enabled the optimal treatment (from the functional and aesthetic aspects), significant stress has been placed on procedures in the field of pre-prosthetic surgery, allowing for the later use of implants.

The aim of the study was to describe methods of pre-prosthetic treatment, enabling prosthetic rehabilitation with the help of intraosseous implants in patients with severe resorption of the mandibular alveolus.
