Na podstawie piśmiennictwa przedstawiono problem alergii na nikiel w różnych dziedzinach stomatologii, a także dane dotyczące częstości wrażliwości na nikiel w populacji. Omówiono ten typ alergii oraz przedstawiono jej obraz kliniczny i sposób postępowania u pacjentów z nadwrażliwością na nikiel.
Unusual nickel allergen – selected problems in dentistry in the light of the literature
The article describes the problem of nickel allergy, as described in the literature. It is found in various branches of dentistry. Data is also given regarding the frequency of nickel sensitivity in the population. This type of allergy is described together with its clinical picture and the methods of procedure with patients who are sensitive to nickel.
