Obecnie uważa się, że u podłoża niektórych chorób, np. takich jak miażdżyca naczyń tętniczych, leżą procesy zapalne, których źródło mogą stanowić przewlekłe infekcje.

At present, it is considered that in the background of some diseases e.g. arteriosclerosis, there are inflammatory processes whose origin may be chronic inflammation.
