Streszczenie
Cel pracy. Celem pracy jest ocena czynników ryzyka, częstotliwości czyszczenia zębów oraz akcesoriów stosowanych do higieny jamy ustnej, mających wpływ na stan zdrowia jamy ustnej, na podstawie badania ankietowego.
Metody badawcze. Szczegółowej analizie zostały poddane wyniki badań przeprowadzonych wśród pacjentów ankietowanych na terenie Warszawy w 2018 roku. W badaniach udział wzięło 394 pacjentów. Analiza danych została wykonana przy użyciu programu TIBCO Statistica® 13.3 (Palo Alto, USA).
Wyniki. Spośród diagnozowanych u dorosłych pacjentów w Polsce chorób przyzębia najczęściej spotykane jest zapalenie dziąseł. Jeszcze bardziej rozpowszechnioną chorobą jamy ustnej jest próchnica zębów. Podłożem dla obu tych jednostek chorobowych okazuje się niedostateczna higiena jamy ustnej.
Wnioski. Odpowiednia dbałość o higienę jamy ustnej pełni istotną rolę w zapobieganiu chorób przyzębia, dlatego ocena zachowań prozdrowotnych w tym zakresie ma istotne znaczenie w przygotowaniu programów profilaktycznych.

Abstract
Objectives. The aim of the study is to assess the impact of risk factors, tooth brushing frequency and using oral care accessories on oral health based on a survey.
Study design. The result of studies conducted among patients enrolled in Warsaw in 2018 were subjected to a detailed analysis. The study involved 394 patients. The data analysis was performed using TIBCO Statistica® 13.3 (Palo Alto, USA) software.
Results. Gingivitis is the most common periodontal condition in adult patients in Poland. Caries is even more common. Insufficient oral hygiene is the main reason for both of the diseases.
Conclusions. Adequate care for oral hygiene plays a key role in the prevention of periodontal disease, therefore the assessment of healthy habits is crucial in the preparation of preventive programs.
